Just curious how you folks go about learning groups of new songs? I need to learn 4-5 by this week. What I'm doing is learning the basic chords to each one to get the feel for the song down, and then going back and learning solos, embellishments, and nailing down the transitions between chorus/bridge, etc. How do you guys do it? Focus on one song, or learn bits all at once?

One of my students brought this song in today...I hadn't heard it before but it makes for a great guitar lesson. I found a guy showing the chords on Youtube for you...rhythmically he is fairly less than funky but it gets the idea across.
