Tom Harkenrider, born in Las Vegas has called Orange County home for the past fifteen years. He has recorded and toured internationally with some of the world's best blues and roots musicians that include James Harman, Candye Kane, and Lynwood Slim. As a sideman he has performed with members of John Mayalls Blues Breakers, Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers, Canned Heat, Mavis Staples of the Staple Singers, Bo Diddley, The Blasters, Social Distortion, X, and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.

Tom Holds a degree from Cal-Poly San Luis Obispo, and has been teaching guitar for fifteen years. Specializing in blues and traditional jazz he has fostered the talent of many students that can be seen performing in Southern California. He has been sought out to teach the techniques and styles of obscure artists that can't be found in a book. Artists like Tiny Grimes, Barney Kessel, Teddy Bunn, Hank Garland, and Bill Jennings are his specialty. So if you recognize any of those names then Tom is the teacher for you.

Beyond teaching and performing, Tom has produced and performed on many local and internationally distributed Records. Having experience using the latest media he can capture the organic and vintage sound that is so desirable for most blues and roots rock bands.
